The 96 XL gives you plate flexibility, you can use the high volume PCR plates and also the standard volume PCR plates.
The 96 XL & 384 XL provide more gripper space, but the gripper space of the compact ODTC is usually sufficient.
The compact ODTC leaves even more space for other devices on your liquid handling workstation
